Yess yess! Dialogue is great but pause is even better! I got it on promo and it is delicious. 'No more mosquitos' is a bit odd but 'you could ruin my day' surpasses just about everything ever. There is more hebden guitar and it is beautiful.A fear more molodic, less jazzy album.Nice.

One of the best albums of the year.

Best tracks - track 2 (forget the name - oh yeah "Chiron".
- "Liquifaction" get away from that standard 4/4!!
- "Misnomer" as jazzy as they come.

Check out "Glasshead" 12" or "Cload" on Leaf records sampler "Osmosis"

damn good.
check out the four tet remix on warp 10+3 if you get the chance, _amazing_.
fridge (kieran's day job) is also a fine source of good noise.

Quite good inteed. Except for song 2.
Can hardly stand the sax in this one. It's on the verge.
But some really interresting moment in the rest of the album.

Vive la musique!

pure beauty!
for sure a "best of" for 1999.

following the amazing Misnomer EP,
four tet (aka Kieran Hebden) follows up with another
truely amazing and beautiful recording.
this is another of those jazz/rock/electronic hybrid type of groups/bands,
but this is the creame of the crop to my ear.
more jazz than any of the others.
as far as the 'eletronic' goes its very minimual,
but there is some,
especially if one considers sampling and scraching as 'electronic'.

the thing i really love about this recording
is that its got great emotion!
the sounds make you FEEL!
not only are they innovating sounding,
and real/analoge sounding,
but they also feel good and sound beautiful.

for me,
this is SO where i'm headed with my musical tastes.
