As an album alone, with only 4 songs, its probably the best release for its time (+timing). Nice artwork. IMO this album holds just as much respect as MHTRTC. It makes me feel really* good. Each song carries on smoothly.
The title for track one A Kid For Today speaks for itself. I have always felt that I had had a lost childhood too which is a mood of BoC especially in this song. A lost childhood isnt a great feeling, but this song reminds me of the grey in color growing up and the sensitivity to things (which is very high, even the smallest of things) in everyday, good :) environments.
Amo Bishop Roden is probably my favorite one of these tracks. Over a year ago, on first listen, I found it the first song of BoC that was on the more depressing side of their music; a bit dark. But the thing with supposable "dark" or "depressing" songs is that they're not. They quickly have depth and clear meaning that gets to me like no other. Amo Bishop Roden and Whitewater from Boc Maxima (which is ABSOLUTELY a fav) could be on the sad side..
Track 3 IABPOITC is very soothing and it might be a good introductory track for those who are interested in their works. I really like the voice too! The drum beat is what gets me going, and the organ is groovin.. I M E A N GROOVIN!
Zoetrope. It literally showers sweet melodies and light chords that resonate and collide. If you're in good spirit its a good listen. A new sound that is not in the spotlight but, eventually, needs to be heard (all music).

Le premier titre "Kid For Today" s'écoute indéfiniment, comme Aquarius du premier album. Une ambiance éthérée, incroyablement planante. Ne rien faire, juste écouter.

This is the greatest album since the Verve's eponymous debut 'Storm in Heaven' in 1993. Comparing them in the genre that this page likes to (downtempo/ ambient) (though I couldn't bracket them because of their sheer originality and intelligence), i'd put them in a top three with Global Communications '76:14', and Aphex Twins 'Selected ambient works 85-92'. Their music is the hidden jewel i've been on a mission to find since I first starting listening to my Mother's 7inch Beatles records as a child. Retro, progressive, reflective, mysterious, and orange. Stunning to listen to stoned OR (more importantly) sober - the greatest natural high. This music has the right to a global following - I adore their non noteriety status as much as I really want to buy an enormous poster of that incredible cover, and know when the next album is coming - even their own website says nothing. I've only ever heard of one live show they've done and i'm begining to think maybe I should have shed £100 to see the only worthy outfit at Camber Sands 2001. Brian Eno, the original creator -Boards of Canada, pioneers of the modern age. 10/10 for the album and ALL their EP's.. (this is gorgeous signing off)
